Protecting your computer/mobile device
We make thorough efforts to ensure that this website is free from viruses or malware. However, due to the internet being what it is, we cannot guarantee that your use of this website won’t affect your computer/mobile device. Accuracy of web content
The content on our entire website is deemed to be correct at the time of publishing. However, prices, available colours/sizes and delivery times can change at any time due to stock levels, shipping delays, or staff illness.
All of our prices are inclusive of VAT, but do NOT include delivery charges. Please see the relevant section for delivery charges to your area.
We endeavour to accurately display the colour of the fabrics and other coverings we use. However, due to the nature of computer/mobile screens, this may vary from device to device. Where possible, we will display a close-up image of the fabric/leather in question using a specialise lens, and although this may give a better representation of the colours, the same issues may be present. If you need a small sample of the chosen colour sending out in the post, please contact us and we’ll do what we can to accommodate you. Although this may not always be possible.

Prices
We believe are prices are competitive with the market in the current situation, and as we import a lot of our own stock, we can keep the prices low. When it comes to bespoke orders, it is almost impossible to price match as almost every aspect of the sofa can be changed, and therefore can’t be ‘like for like’. We over 900 colour swatches in our shop at any time, which can be mix and matched in any imaginable combination, and even with this amount of choice, offer a set price per item size, regardless of the fabric choices.
We try our best to keep the prices you see online, identical to the ones in store. However, sometimes we will decide to reduce a model to clear, or promote and not adjust the online price until later that day.
We reserve the right to adjust the prices and timeframes of any sales we have on any item. For example, we may reduce some items to clear the last of the stock we have of an end of line item. This means when the promotion has worked and the items have sold, the promotion is no longer needed.

If you’re considering placing an order with us
Before you place an order with us, there are some things you should consider first. Such as;
1. How is your access? If you think ‘the last sofa I got is bigger an they got that in’, consider this, have you had any new doors installed since that day that could be smaller? (PVC doors are generally smaller than old fashioned wooden doors). Did the old sofa come apart? If so, does your new one?
2. Is its final position in an unusual place, for example on the second floor or do you live in a flat? If so, does your building have a lift we can use?
3. If you would like us to take the sofa through a back door, is the passageway clear from garden furniture? Are you prepared to clear the passageway from dog left overs?
4. Will the items you are choosing actually fit in the room? Often when people are measuring the room the sofa is going in, they only measure the length to make sure it’ll fit across a wall, and fail to measure the depth to see how far the items stick out into the middle of the room, etc. How about the height? If the sofa is going under a window, does it let it a suitable amount of light?
5. Will you be looking for any complementary items such as footstools or extra scatter cushions? You should keep in mind that if you are, due to the nature of the fabric production, there may be a slight variance in the shade. It is highly recommended to order everything at once, rather than purchasing the extra bits at a later date to avoid this potential issue.
6. How are you paying for the furniture? If you purchase online, you can pay using all major credit/debit cards. If you live in the area, you have more options as you can pop into the store and just pay a deposit. From there, you can pay the balance on delivery with a card or cash.
To provide you with the very best service, we may monitor or record our calls for training purposes. We may use third party agencies to help analyse calls to improve customer service.

Processing your order and delivery dates
All delivery dates stated on the website during your purchase are approximate. Sometimes delays can happen that are out of our control, such as shipping delays, delays at the port, delays in fabric arriving, factory staff illnesses, to mention a few. If delivery times change after purchase, we will try our best to keep you informed via e-mail and/or telephone. If you need your item by a specific time, please contact us by emailing contactus@aintreesofas.com and asking about our stock levels before purchasing.
When we have your order in hand, or we know the exact date it is arriving, we will contact you and arrange a day for delivery. At this point, we will also give you either a morning or afternoon slot so you can work around it. Again, unforeseen circumstances can change this on the day due to difficult deliveries before yours, or transport issues. If this happens, we’ll try our very best to keep you informed.
If at this point, you are not ready for your delivery, and don’t have a date in mind, just let us know. We can keep it in storage until you are ready to receive it. We do not charge to store your sofa until you’re ready for it, all we ask is you keep us informed via e-mail of rough dates/updates.

Delivery charges
A charge of £35 is made for our delivery and installation service for deliveries made in the area local to our store (L9 7ES). The fee rises slightly to £45 in the surrounding areas, where postcodes start with WA, WN and PR. The rest of mainland UK is charged at £69. If you are unsure of the delivery charge for your particular postcode, just ask us.
On the day of delivery
On the day you are expecting delivery, you need to ask yourself, have you emptied the room, or cleared sufficient space where the furniture will be placed? Have you made sure the pathway is clear and anything easily damaged has been moved? For example, if your door doesn’t open fully, is it because there are coats or shoes behind it?
Once we get the furniture into the room of choice, we will unpack the furniture remove all packaging and take it away with us. We have specialist companies who take our plastic and cardboard away in order to recycle it responsibly. When the delivery is complete, you will need to sign to accept the furniture in good order.

Payment during delivery
If you are in our local area, you have the option of paying the remainder of your balance on delivery. Once the delivery has been completed, and you’ve inspected the furniture, you have the choice to pay the balance on credit/debit card (we have a mobile card machine with us), or by cash. Please note that we no longer accept cheques. You can also pay by bank transfer if you wish, though if that is the route you want to take, you should request the bank details and pay the balance no later than the day before delivery.
Removal of your old furniture
If you are in our local area, you have the option of having us remove and responsibly dispose of your old furniture at the time of delivery. If you wish to take this option, it will be at a cost of £40 and MUST be agreed upon at the time of scheduling your delivery. If we arrive with your delivery, and your old furniture is still there, we cannot take it away and it will be your own responsibility. If we are taking away your old suite, it must be kept clean, and it should be waiting outside for us. If we have to remove it for you, we are not to be held liable for any slight damage incurred to wallpaper/décor during this process. We always take as much care as possible when delivering your furniture, and we make this easier by being incredibly familiar with the dimensions of our own models. This isn’t the case for your model, and therefore it may be more of a challenge to remove it. If you have had a new door installed, or if your old sofa came in through a window, it is your own responsibility to get it outside before we arrive.
It doesn’t matter how damaged it is, but it must be clean for health and safety reasons. Please take some time to check down the sides/backs of cushions to clear out any debris that you can. If it is a recliner, we will be taking it apart, which means lifting the backs off the sofa. Before we arrive, you should lift up the flap at the bottom of the sofa at the back, and check what has fallen down. This space is a major trap for small toys, lighters, tissues and especially pet hair!
We reserve the right to refuse removal of any piece of furniture that is too dirty for hygiene reasons.

Cancellation Policy
Consumer Contract regulations only apply to your order if the items have not been custom made to your specification or if you have not examined the product in our shop. If the Consumer Contract Regulations do apply you can cancel your furniture by notifying us, in writing, no later than 14 working days beginning with the day after the date of delivery. If you are returning your furniture, it is your responsibility to keep it clean and unharmed. From the point of us agreeing to return it, the furniture should no longer be used, and be covered where possible, and packaged to avoid transport damage as it is your responsibility to return the items to us in good condition. We understand that many customers will not be able to do this, and so we can agree to collect the items during our regular business hours, most likely on a delivery day if necessary. In these circumstances, Aintree Sofas reserve the right to charge up to, but not exceeding 20% of the price of the furniture to cover the cost of collecting the items. The charge will be calculated based of the number of items, availability of transport staff, your location and the difficulty of the removal.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your furniture
If you find an issue with your order that you are not happy with, you should contact us immediately by phone, or by emailing contactus@aintreesofas.com. We use a professional technician with an incredible amount of experience with leather and upholstered furniture. Based on the description of the issue, we will arrange for the technician to visit your home and write a report on the issue. On most occasions, he will resolve most issues on site. If this isn’t possible, he will write up a report for us. The report will outline what the issue is, and how, in his professional opinion it was caused. He will take some photographs and report back to us before we can decide on the next possible steps.
If you are unsatisfied with the results of the technician, contact us immediately so we can discuss a possible route forward.
If you remain unhappy after following the process set out above, you may wish to refer it to the Furniture Ombudsman who is an independent organisation that provides Alternative Dispute Resolution services. You can email them direct at info@thefurnitureombudsman.org
